Arc Floor Lamps in Your Home

If you are looking for a special breed of the floor lamp, take a long look at the arc floor lamp. They differ from other types in shape only. While they have been used for decades, over the past twenty to thirty years interior design has become such a major concern that they are being given another glance. Floor lamps are a perfect way to give a welcoming warm feel to your home while being unique also.

Arc or arch floor lamps are available in several sizes and shapes, and most often are made from metal. A metal standing lamps has pros and cons whether arched or upright.

You’ll notice first that a metal floor lamp is heavy. They aren’t just thick-boned but at times very bulky. This is good, because they don’t tip over easily so they are safer in a home that has children or pets running around. They also look strong and rigid with a nearly authoritative feel to them.

However, when a big knock manages to tip this lamp over, it will break anything in the way, such as a glass table or a favorite vase. It may break both. The weight is also is disadvantage if you decide to move pieces around or want to carry the lamp some place.

A benefit to the arc floor lamp is that you can get a multi head version. It may be single-headed or a multi-head so the turn knob turns all of the lamps on or off. Arc lamps are often better than other floor lamps that cost the same amount; you can dim them or brighten them fully.

You can also find a goose neck lamp that you can bend in any fashion you choose. This will come in use if you enjoy reading on the couch and the lamp is beside it.

An arc floor lamp may not be the most creative piece in a room, but they are as good as any other lamp and sometimes better. If you need something that will transform a living room from an ordinary room to your favorite room, a standing lamp could be the perfect solution.
