Light Fixtures   

A light fixture or fitting is a device that creates artificial illumination or light. The word lamp is slang used to describe any light fixture but most often a portable fixture like a desk or table lamp. In technical terms, the lamp is the source of light or what is known as the light bulb.    

You classify light fixtures by how they are installed, the function, or type of lamp.
